Things to think about

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.
(Ephesians 1:17-19)

Our continued word for our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender visitors and members:

Remember always that you are loved by God [John 3:16], JUST as you are, JUST as He created you to be [Psalm 139:13-16] -- and anyone who says differently is trying to put themselves between you and God [Luke 11:46; Acts 15:5-11; Titus 1:10-11] (and you KNOW whose agenda THAT is! [Matthew 16:23; Mark 4:15]). REJECT false teachings and REMOVE yourself from those who witness falsely against Queer or any other people [Matthew 7:15-29; Galatians 5:1-8; 1 John 4:1] and take care of the Queer people around you who need to see the love of Jesus in your face, in your hands, in your words [John 13:34-35]!

Don't let bad Christians keep you from a good God!

Are you Gay and..

  • .. barred from or having to hide to stay in straight churches & groups? Or,

  • .. feeling empty or even grossed out in your local Gay churches or groups?  Or,

  • .. wondering if the Christian message really has anything to do with you after all? Or,

  • .. worried that you aren't and can't be saved by Jesus, unless you stop being Gay? Or,

  • .. so disgusted with Christianity or Christians that you've left everything "Christian" behind?

If so..A new direction

Do you realize you may have come to this point in your life precisely to bring you closer to the real God, and the real message, and the real love, of Jesus Christ?

Do you realize that most of what's been put forth as "Bible Truth" in the last 2,000 years is completely false, according to the Bible -- and that the Bible predicted it would be so?

Do you realize that questioning what's put forth as "God's Truth" in your life can be where godly wisdom truly begins?

GayBibleChristians.org is a safe place for you and your questions -- whether you are a Gay Christian in love with Jesus, a Gay atheist who hates Christianity, or someone else in between. (It's also a safe place if you are a straight Christian who is concerned about the salvation of a Gay loved one.)

The real God isn't afraid of your questions, and He isn't afraid of your scrutiny. He's also more loving and just than any mainstream or traditional church, denomination, leader, tradition, or Bible translation has ever painted Him to be. God is on your side!

We learned this ourselves, firsthand. We are Gay Christians (from a number of different denominational backgrounds) who've questioned God, and scrutinized His Word -- and we've come to more and more peace and trust in God, as we've come to understand the truth of the Bible (when it's presented as God gave it to all people, that is).

What you'll find here:

  • If you are just getting started on the journey toward God's real truth (and truthfully, none of us ever finish finally getting there!), we invite you to use this web site as one of your helpers along the way. We've been exactly where you are right now -- we remember the confusion, the anger, the hurt, the loneliness, and despair, and more. You are our primary reason for being here on this site. And just as others gave (and continue to give) us a hand-up as we traveled, we, in return, are here to offer you whatever hand-up you need, as well!

  • If you are already fairly well along on your journey toward God's real truth, then we invite you to use this site as a shaded resting place. You'll find fellowship here that understands the joy, hardship, peace, and conflict that comes from embracing the real God's way for all people, as expressed in the Bible's original languages and contexts. Please also consider joining our prayer team, as we pray for all those  -- Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and straight -- who visit this site or email us.

We invite everyone who uses this web site to send us your questions and suggestions for new topics. You can also email us just to chat. Please also sign up for our newsletter, or check out our audio talks (you can also subscribe to our podcast feed). You are safe here

Some final things to note:

Everything available through this web site is completely free of any charge.

  • We don't consider people's need for the Gospel a godly way to make (even a tiny amount of) money. We've been doing this kind of online outreach for years now, and we have never needed to spend more than a few bucks each month to support its costs. We are suspicious of other ministries -- online and off -- that seem to need tens, hundreds, and even thousands of dollars a month to keep God's Word flowing (if they had lived 2,000 years ago, it would be interesting to see how much they would say it cost to read Paul's letters aloud).

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a way of understanding yourself, the world, and God [Luke 17:20-21]. It's not a marketing plan. It's not a career path. It doesn't require any special education (in fact, the Bible tells us that those who are more formally educated even in religious matters probably understand it the least!). You don't have to buy or financially support anything to "get" or even pass along the real Gospel. None of Jesus' original apostles and disciples needed any of that -- and it wasn't until tens and hundreds of years after them, when the Gospel message itself began to be buried under tons of non-Bible ideas, that it was widely said that people needed other people (priests, pastors, etc.) or their things (eucharist, studies, etc) to understand the Gospel and/or be saved.

All any of us need is Jesus, and a biblical understanding of what He wants from us. And that's free!

We don't intrude on your use of this site through any advertising, or the use of your name or email address anywhere.

  • We consider that your visits and study here are between you and God. We are always interested in your thoughts and open to email, but we intentionally don't intrude or exploit your being here. We've been too many times in and around other straight and gay "ministries" where numbers of people (in the pews, on the mailing list, giving money, visiting the site, etc) was more important than the individuals who made up those numbers. That disgusts us, and we just don't do it!

Finally, you'll find no collars or robes or titles or other clerical ego doo-dads here.

  • Jen, the person you'll find around here most often, used to be a legally ordained minister, thinking that was the way to serve God's call on her life. But she resigned from all that several years ago after it became painfully apparent that being ordained made her a worker for a denomination, and not the Lord. We consider that everyone who gives their time in prayer, web site work, research, counsel, and more through this outreach are intentionally "just plain folk", without religious garb or trappings. All of us are equal sisters and brothers in the Lord's Way, just like Jesus said we are to be [Matthew 23]. Some of us (which includes you) have been given one talent, some of us have been given another. All of it is equally valuable and equally needed in God's real work!

We also follow the Bible in determining who is a real "pastor", "prophet", "evangelist", and so on, by seeing if they match the leadership descriptions given in the New Testament [1 Timothy 2:2, 3:2-12; Titus 1:6-16; 1 Peter 5:1-3], and by seeing if they show fruit of the Spirit in their lives and the work they are part of [Matthew 7:15-23; Galatians 5:19-23]. We think that those who are real pastors, prophets, and so on don't have to dangle it before the world in their clothing or titles or even their language to make sure people "get it". We think you'll "get it" when you see and hear the real thing, whether that person has any "official" claim to anything or not. In fact, in our own personal lives it's most often been the person least looked to for spiritual wisdom who's given us the biggest hand-up to Jesus!

We thank you for visiting! May God continue to bless you!
